WHEN WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Outdoors sessions typically take place about 1.5 hours ahead of sunset, during the day's most beautiful, flattering light. While I will always make alternate accommodations if necessary, families are overjoyed with the lighting and atmosphere that golden hour sessions produce, and are happy to delay naps for small children to take advantage of the day's most gorgeous light.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHERE WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
I am based in Hastings, NE. I search diligently for a variety of locations that yield beautiful light and surroundings for your session. I am happy to travel to you, though, if you have a site that is dear to you. Newborn photos take place in studio or at your home.
WHAT STYLE OF PHOTOGRAPHER ARE YOU?
I am inspired by connection, and my motto is connection over perfection. My images rarely feature all eyes looking directly at the camera, and every hair in place. I strive for images that show love, laughter, and movement, and I find my families love these types of images, as well. If you're looking for genuine images that show your family's love for each other--in all its mess--then I think we are a perfect fit!
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR FOR OUR SESSION?
I am pleased to offer a client styling service, complimentary with every session! You may read about it here. I do encourage wearing clothing that flows and adds texture and movement--materials that let the breeze move them and the light to flow through them are pure, photographic magic! For babies and children, I encourage simple, timeless pieces that allow your child's features to shine. Ask me about what I have on hand ahead of your child's session! For studio newborn sessions, I have everything you need--just bring Baby.
